This micrography piece is a self-portrait of myself made from quotes. The bold font is inspired by Sean William’s work “Kaskade”. The hair consists of the words and phrases used by my family and friends to describe certain characteristics of my personality. I used their comments to 'write' down my personality as it is perceived by others. Some of the writing is only released through a UV light, creating an element of discovery and surprise for the viewers.

This micrography artwork uses the text from the famous fairy tale "Goldilocks and the Three Bears", which played a pivotal role in my childhood, to form my thumbprint. The artwork appears as a blank piece of paper until the image is slowly revealed when a UV light is shined on it. Much like how identities are slowly discovered in real life, my artwork, signifying my identity, is intentionally slowly revealed by the viewer with a UV flashlight

This artwork unites both the positive and negative meanings of my conscience shown through my careful selection of flowers. Each flower is a visual symbol for a certain trait of my conscience. I used a new medium, cyanotype, to create this piece. Cyanotype is considered a blueprint for something, and I chose this method to symbolically represent my dual identity.

This life-size conceptual artwork represents my future identity. The relief print is of a human heart formed with nursing tools and it is set within a silhouette of me sitting criss-cross. I intended to portray my heart’s desire to become a nurse through this artwork.
